Are we supposed to believe this?

Thu Nov 18, 2004 at 04:06:33 AM PDT

"The United States has intelligence that Iran is working to adapt missiles to deliver a nuclear weapon, further evidence that the Islamic republic is determined to acquire a nuclear bomb, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell said Wednesday."

WaPo article

So, Mr. Powell, how is it that we are supposed to believe this? Isn't this just more rhetoric? I recall, not long ago, when intelligence gave us proof of the same sort out of Iraq.

Although this SEEMS much more rational, and clearly closer to reality than the Iraq debacle, isn't this what this Administration has brought themselves to? As Mr. Moore asks, "How will they ever trust us again?"

Maybe a better question: will the press roll over for this, as they did last time?
